Law enforcement requests

How law enforcement agencies, courts and the Industry Traceback Group can request records from UniVoice Networks.

What to include

  • The legal process (subpoena, court order or warrant) or the traceback request.
  • The calling and called numbers, with the date, time and time zone of each call.
  • The requesting agency or organisation, a contact name and a return email address.
  • The deadline for the response.

How we respond

We disclose customer records only as permitted by law, including the CPNI rules, and in response to valid legal process. Traceback requests from the Industry Traceback Group are answered within 24 hours. In emergencies involving danger of death or serious physical injury, we may disclose information without legal process as the law allows.
