This page summarises the robocall mitigation program of UniVoice Networks LLC (FRN 0037476215). It applies to every customer and every call we carry.
1. Customer vetting
Before any traffic is enabled, we collect and verify the customer’s legal name, registered and physical address, principal contact, ownership, the type of traffic they will send and the source of that traffic. US voice service providers must provide their FCC Registration Number, Form 499 Filer ID and Robocall Mitigation Database listing. We decline customers we cannot verify, and customers that have been removed from the Robocall Mitigation Database or are the subject of FCC enforcement for illegal robocalling.
2. Contractual commitments
Customers agree not to originate or transmit illegal robocalls, not to spoof caller ID, to use only numbers they are authorised to use, to comply with the TCPA, the Telemarketing Sales Rule and state law, and to cooperate with traceback requests. Breach of these terms allows us to block traffic and terminate service immediately.
3. Traffic monitoring
We monitor traffic for indicators of illegal robocalling, including high volumes of very short calls, low answer rates, invalid or unallocated caller ID, caller ID that does not match the customer’s authorised numbers, and sudden changes in traffic patterns. Suspicious traffic is investigated and may be suspended during review.
4. Traceback
We respond fully to traceback requests from the Industry Traceback Group, the FCC and law enforcement within 24 hours, identifying the upstream provider or customer from which the call came. Customers must cooperate with these requests as a condition of service.
5. Blocking and enforcement
When we are notified by the FCC of illegal traffic, or identify it ourselves, we take steps to block it and to prevent the responsible customer from sending similar traffic. Repeat or serious violations result in termination.
6. STIR/SHAKEN
We hold a service provider code token from the STI Policy Administrator and our certificate issuance is in progress. Our robocall mitigation measures apply to all traffic regardless of its attestation level.
